Professor Smith has published in the Journal of Labor Research, The Journal of Applied Management and Entrepreneurship, European Research Studies Journal, Journal of Computer Information Systems, Proceedings of the American Society of Information Science, and Case Research Journal among other publications, and has published, Issues in the Workplace: Dilemmas in Human Resource Management. She has served the University of Tulsa as associate dean, chair of management and marketing, interim dean of the College of Business and Vice Provost of Academic Affairs. Professor Smith has completed a diversity audits for Southwest Power and the Department of Energy, an affirmative action review for Cherokee Nation Industries, and a Labor Market Analysis Executive Summary for the Tulsa Chamber of Commerce.
