Brief Biography
Pradeep A. Rau joined The George Washington University School of Business in 1990. He has a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and a Doctor of Business Administration degree from Kent State University. His expertise is in the areas of marketing research, product management, marketing strategy and social marketing. While at GWU, he has taught a total of ten different courses in marketing and research methods. He also has extensive experience in teaching to executive groups having been a continuing faculty member in GWU’s Executive MBA program and having spoken to executive groups in many countries in Asia, Europe and Latin America.

Dr. Rau’s research interests are in international marketing strategy, marketing research and public-private partnerships in business. He has co-authored three books including Marketing Strategies for the New Europe published by the American Marketing Association (1990) and Analysis of Experience: Public-Private Partnerships in HIV/AIDS Programs published by the University Press of America (2004). His scholarly work has appeared in a number of journals – Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of International Marketing, Journal of Advertising Research, Management International Review, Thunderbird International Business Review and International Marketing Review – among others.
